Dundee Foodbank donations welcomed at Night Market

The centrepiece of the market stalls will be an empty Dundee Foodbank table, which will be the focal point for visitors to a marketplace packed with local businesses.
During the festive season, shoppers looking for a local bargain are being encouraged to donate non-perishable food to the empty table over the course of the evening. The charity is looking for new donations as their work continues over the festive season.

“So, if you can please bring a food donation along with you, a list of recommended foods can be found on the Dundee Foodbank website.”
The empty space in the Westport area of the city was formerly the Westport Gallery, until its closure in January this year. Now, the 1500sq ft space has been rejuvenated to show off the city’s most popular independent businesses.
The Westport area also featured as “The World’s Smallest Street Market” in July 2014 under Richard Cook’s organisation.
