Annan Athletic 2 - 0 Queen’s Park: Annan get first win since Ibrox

ANNAN Athletic last night recorded their first victory since stunning Rangers at Ibrox early last month as second-place Queen’s Park continued their late-season stumble towards the play-offs.

Scorers: Annan - Chaplain 28, Hopkirk 84

Referee: G Hilland. Attendance: 342

The Glasgow side have now taken only one point from their last five games after goals from Scott Chaplain and David Hopkirk earned the hosts, second bottom of the Third Division, only their second win in 12 outings.

Annan took the lead a minute later when Scott Chaplain followed up to slot into an empty net after Parry had done well to block David Hopkirk’s initial effort.
