Tributes paid to lorry driver killed in A90 crash

THE family of a man who died following a head-on collision involving two HGVs on the A90 in Aberdeenshire have spoken of their grief following his loss.

Lorry driver Farquhar Kennedy, 54, known as Frankie, was killed on the Foveran to Belmedie road, along with fellow HGV driver, Rimas Kuskys, 43, on Monday September 28.

A white Vauxhall car was also involved in the lunchtime crash and the female driver taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

In a statement his son Greig has revealed how Mr Kennedy’s partner has lost her ”soulmate”.

Mr Kennedy’s son Greig Kennedy said: “We are devastated at the loss of dad, or Frankie as he was known to his family and friends.

“He absolutely loved golf and we have so many memories of him enjoying the sport he loved.

“His partner has lost her soulmate and we as a family are distraught and can’t believe what has happened. We also send our condolences to the family and friends of Rimas Kuskys. We ask that we are now given time to grieve in private to come to terms with our sad loss.”

Mr Kuskys, had moved to Fraserburgh from his Lithuanian home 11 years ago and had just celebrated his 12th wedding anniversary with his wife Rasa the weekend before he died.
