Edinburgh’s top everyday ‘small’ risks have been revealed – going to a restaurant with no booking, going out with no umbrella or coat when its overcast, and leaving the washing up till the next day.
Research of 2,565 adults – with those living in Edinburgh among those polled – found locals take four risks a week on average, with 41 per cent describing themselves as ‘risk takers.’

Hide AdPressing snooze on the alarm, going outside without any shoes on, and sitting in a reserved seat on the train are also among the most common perilous acts.
As are going on holiday without having had a bikini wax, sleeping with make-up on, and leaving the house with a mobile phone low on battery.
Commissioned on behalf of 888poker, the study found more than half of adults (54 per cent) wished their life had more thrills in it than it does currently.
While other common risks among those residing in Edinburgh include putting something in the black bin despite knowing it should be recycled and using someone else’s mug.

Hide AdHaving caffeinated drinks just before going to sleep, bluffing when playing poker, and not closing the curtains when getting quickly get changed are also regular occurrences.
It also emerged city locals are most likely to do something ‘risky’ on a Saturday.
Carried out through OnePoll, the study found 20 per cent like to embrace their love of risk-taking by playing poker.
Although 19 per cent of players describe their playing style as ‘conservative.’
