Spicy chicken nuggets are set to vanish from the McDonald’s menu this month, along with two other popular items.

Fans have less than two weeks to enjoy the spicy twist on the classic nuggets before they disappear on 28 January 2020.

Spicy chicken nuggets first landed on the McDonald’s menu in July last year, following successful trials in the US and Asia.

The nuggets were initially introduced for a short seven week period and proved to be an immediate hit in the UK, with hundreds of Brits even queuing up to try them.

After the popularity of the seven week stint, McDonald’s reintroduced the nuggets on 2 January, saying they would be available for the rest of this month. However, the chain is now axing them a few days early, meaning fans will no longer be able to order them from Tuesday 28 January.

What else is going from the menu?

Cheese melt dippers are also due to be axed by the end of this month, having reappeared on the menu in time for Christmas - but with a festive Camembert twist.

The dippers are available to buy in packs of four for £1.79, or in a sharebox of 12 bites for £4.40, although prices can vary across different restaurants.

With the branches now clearing their stocks, the dippers could disappear from some stores sooner than others, depending on demand.

The Big Tasty and Big Tasty with bacon is the third of the items to be pulled from the menu by 28 January, after being re-added as part of the McDonald’s 2019 Christmas menu.

The burger is made with beef, Emmental cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, and is topped with McDonald’s popular Big Tasty sauce. The bacon version was added at the same time, but costs 40p extra.

Both Big Tasty burgers will be axed from 28 January, giving customers less than a fortnight to make the most of them while they still can.

Of course, while the items are being pulled from the menu this month, that’s not to say they won’t reappear in the future, with McDonald’s regularly switching up its menu and bringing back old favourites.
