RAF Typhoon in precautionary landing at Aberdeen Airport

An RAF Typhoon was forced into a precautionary landing at Aberdeen Airport due to a technical issue.

Fire engines were on the runway following the landing, with Aberdeen Airport and the MoD confirming that the plane, from RAF Lossiemouth, landed safely.

The incident occurred during a training exercise.

A RAF spokesperson confirmed: “A Typhoon from RAF Lossiemouth on a routine training sortie had a technical issue leading to a precautionary landing at the nearest suitable airfield which was Aberdeen”
