As well as help from Entrepreneurial Spark, Dundee businessmen Sheryar Adam and Yusuf Okhai have invested £100,000 in Hastie’s product.
Jim Duffy, chief executive of Entrepreneurial Spark, said: “David was trying to get a different business off the ground and we were supporting him with that when he showed us the first prototype for Nutrifiz. Straight away we told him to drop everything and focus on this – it was clear that he had a great idea and with a little tweaking the product would be ready to launch.”
Hastie worked with Yorkshire-based Principle Healthcare International to turn his idea into a product.
