Zookeeper's rhino stash

AN AUSTRIAN zookeeper has been sacked after growing a cannabis plantation in the rhinoceros enclosure.

The 59-year-old had apparently tended the drug meadow for eight years.

He was the only human the cantankerous residents of Hellbrunn Zoo near Salzburg would let into their enclosure. Police said the man regularly harvested his crop - which the rhinos did not eat - and then sold it.

But when one of his customers was arrested last month, he cut a deal with police by informing on his supplier.
