Zoe Nelson murder trial: Killer wrestled to ground after guilty verdict

A MAN has been found guilty of murdering a teenager whose badly burned body was discovered near woods in North Lanarkshire.

Robert Bayne, 21, had denied killing 17-year-old Zoe Nelson, who was found dead in Wishaw on May 22 last year.

A jury at the High Court in Edinburgh took three hours to find Bayne, of Wishaw, guilty. They returned a unanimous verdict.

On hearing the verdict, Bayne jumped to his feet, shouting and swearing.

He had to be wrestled to the ground by security guards, who restrained him before the court was cleared.
