Youth mugs 81-year-old

A PENSIONER was mugged in broad daylight by a young thief who grabbed her bag from behind before running off.

The 81-year-old woman was walking along Beresford Rise, in Livingston, on her way to the Dedridge Store at around 12:55pm last Thursday when the youth struck. As she approached the front door of the shop the youth, aged between 16 and 20, grabbed her brown leather purse from her hand.

The thief was aged between 16 and 20, around 5ft 7in tall, and wearing a grey hooded top, jogging bottoms and white trainers.
