Youth held over sex attack

A TEENAGE boy has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault on an 18-year-old girl as she walked home from a nightclub.

The 19-year-old is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday over the alleged attack on September 24.

The victim was on a night out with friends at the Twig club in Livery Street in Bathgate, West Lothian, before leaving the venue at 2am.

She is believed to have been attacked as she walked through the Acredale car park behind George Street in the town's pedestrian precinct.

The traumatised teenager managed to make it back to a friend's house and was taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston, where the police were contacted.
