Youngest mum's sister was pregnant

THE younger sister of a girl said to be Scotland's youngest mum is reported to have also fallen pregnant, at the age of just 12.

The West Lothian youngster, who cannot be named, used a social networking site to tell friends she had become pregnant but suffered a miscarriage, it was reported today.

She wrote that the baby's father had not believed that she was pregnant.

Her older sister became the youngest mum in Scotland, after falling pregnant then aged just 11.

A family friend reportedly said: "The sisters are extremely close and the younger one always said she wanted to grow up just like her big sister and have a baby of her own.

"Nobody was very surprised when she announced that she was pregnant."

The younger sister, who is now aged 13, is reported to have been taken into care.

Her sister was fostered with her child back in 2006.

However, they are said to have later been split up, then leaving her with limited contact with her child.
