Young wizard and friends glow for it

Seven-YEAR-OLD wizard Michael Renwick was one of more than 1000 people who gathered at Fettes College to participate in the world record-breaking Royal Blind’s annual sponsored children’s walk, Glow In The Park, at the weekend.

They were attempting to break the world record for the largest magic lesson, which was held by a 435-strong group in China – and they managed it, with 1063 people taking part in the full ten-minute lesson.

The event was organised by Royal Blind, the Edinburgh-based charity whose mission it is to build a community in which blind and visually-impaired individuals are fully included and lead fulfilling lives.
