Young suffer sectarianism

Action for Children, which surveyed 114 people aged 14 to 20, also found 44 per cent believed sectarian views were a direct result of upbringing, while only a quarter put them down to religious beliefs.

The findings will be submitted to the Scottish Parliament’s justice committee, which is currently debating the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill, which is aimed at tackling sectarianism.
