Young pipers strike a blow for Scotland

THE National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland will make their debut in East Lothian next month as part of a drive to encourage more youngsters to take up the national instrument.

Workshops will be held in the Brunton Hall on Saturday, February 12 from 10.30am until 4pm, which any would-be piper or drummer aged under 25 can attend.

Later, the NYPB will take to the stage for a toe-tapping concert from 7.30pm, with tickets costing 5.
