Yogi praised for Hibs work

FORMER Hibs Coach John 'Yogi' Hughes had something to smile about at his first public appearance since relinquishing the reins of the Easter Road Club.

As guest of honour at Citadel Youth Centre's 30th Birthday AGM, he was recognised for the work he does to promote the Leith-based organisation.

Announcing Hughes as the recipient of the Award for Lifelong Ambassador For The Citadel, Councillor Gordon Munro said, "I don't often disagree with decisions that are made at my football team - but I do not agree they should have let John Hughes go in the way that they did. He was good for Hibs and good for Leith."
