Yacht’s dram nice welcome

THE Capital’s Clipper round-the-world yacht was greeted by a taste of home as it docked in San Francisco.

Edinburgh Inspiring Capital’s official piper met George McCoomb, chief executive of the San Francisco Caledonian Club and Geoffrey Craighead, first chieftain of the club, to toast record-breaking export figures for whisky maker Diageo.

The yacht arrived in America following an epic 5700-mile sail from China.
