Yacht in Forth rescue drama

A YACHT had to be towed to safety after developing engine trouble in the Firth of Forth.

The vessel had been heading for Dalgety Bay when it developed engine trouble yesterday afternoon.

A coastguard spokesman said: "Their engine started to play up and the skipper was getting a little concerned. We launched the Anstruther lifeboat to give assistance. The skipper had a bang to his head."

The boat was towed into Anstruther, and paramedics checked the sailor over but he did not need hospital treatment.
