X-Factor to screen marathon special

THE longest-ever X-Factor show is being planned as a special "surprise" for fans.

The two-and-a-half hour marathon will air on 9 October, with all 12 finalists taking to the stage. However, bosses say it will not clash with BBC1 rival Strictly Come Dancing.
