Video: Light aircraft plunges into Pacific Ocean

THIS dramatic video shows the moment a small single-engine plane crashes into the Pacific Ocean.

The footage, which was filmed by the coast guard, shows the pilot - the plane’s only occupant - jumping out of the aircraft with a parachute before the plane nose-dives, before levelling out and landing in the sea.

The pilot, who cannot be identified, was an agent delivering the aircraft to an owner in Australia.

In the video, the pilot can be seen escaping from the top of the aircraft before drifting away on a small raft.

The SR22 aircraft costs around £500,000.
