US Election: Donald Trump says coronavirus vaccinations coming next month but refuses to acknowledge Joe Biden victory

The outgoing President addressed the press and the country from the Rose Garden at the White House.

This is the first time that Donald Trump has spoken directly to the press since Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 Presidential Election.

President Trump addressed the new vaccine saying that: "No medical break through of this scope and magnitude has ever been achieved

President Trump continued: "This China virus vaccine is 90% effective” adding that “the vaccine will be free of charge.”

Operation Warp Speed, according to Donald Trump, has taken one year, and he has claimed that a different administration would have taken three to five years.

However, Pfizer's senior vice president and head of vaccine research and development, Kathrin Jansen has said that their research is not part of Operation Warp Speed and that they have never taken funding from the US Government.

The vaccine will initially be rolled out to the front line workers, the elderly and at risk patients in the USA.

However, it will not be available to New York State as there is no authorisation from New York’s Governor Cuomo, who wishes to be cautious and certain the vaccine will work before it’s rolled out.

If the vaccine is approved, then it could be rolled out as early as December.

He also said that the ‘current administration’ will not be going into a lock down, adding that time will tell who the future administration will be.

This was the only reference made to the 2020 Election Results during his speech.

Dr Moncef Slaoui, Scientific Head of Warp Speed, also spoke saying that the operation had no political input, and the vaccine will be judged by independent specialists.

President Elect Biden released a statement on Friday asking all Americans to continue to social distance, wash their hands and wear masks.

He also said: “I am the president-elect, but I will not be president until next year.

"The crisis does not respect dates on the calendar, it is accelerating right now.

"Urgent action is needed today, now, by the current administration – starting with an acknowledgement of how serious the current situation is.”

Mr Trump is yet to concede the 2020 Presidential Election, claiming voter fraud altered the results.

A joint statement from the Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Executive Committees said: “The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history. Right now, across the country, election officials are

reviewing and double checking the entire election process prior to finalising the result.

“When states have close elections, many will recount ballots. All of the states with close results in the 2020 presidential race have paper records of each vote, allowing the ability to go back and count each ballot if necessary. This is an added benefit for security and resilience. This process

allows for the identification and correction of any mistakes or errors. There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”
