US Election 2020: 'We believe we will be the winners' says Joe Biden

Presidential candidate Joe Biden has given a speech claiming that he is confident of winning the election.

He said: “I'm not here to declare that we won. But I am here to report the count is finished, we believe we will be the winners.

"It's been a long and difficult campaign. It has been a more difficult time for our country, a hard time. “

Mr Biden has just won Michigan, giving him 253 electoral votes to Trump’s 213.

The candidate needs to get 270 to win the election and enter the White House in January.

Mr Biden went on to say: "I know how deep and hard the opposing views are in our country on so many things.

"But I also know this as well, to make progress.

"We got to stop treating our opponents as enemies. We are not enemies.

"What brings us together as Americans is so much stronger, and anything that can tear us apart.

"So let me be clear. I were campaigning as a Democrat. But I will govern as an American president.”

This speech comes after Donald Trump had called for legal action to be taken, claiming voter fraud particularly in Pennsylvania.

The President tweeted: “Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled.

"Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!”

There is no evidence of voter fraud in the USA.
