Uganda gives the
all–clear on Ebola

Uganda is now free from Ebola, the health ministry has said, two months after an outbreak of the deadly virus killed at least 16 people.

There is no cure for Ebola, which is transmitted by close contact and bodily fluids, though doctors can treat the symptoms and some patients can survive. Uganda has suffered several Ebola outbreaks, the biggest in 2000, in which some 200 people died.
