Two tonnes of uranium in Iran

IRAN has amassed more than two tonnes of enriched uranium, the UN atomic agency said today in a report that heightened concerns about the country's ability to produce a nuclear weapon.

Two tons of uranium would be enough for two nuclear warheads, although Tehran says it is only pursuing civilian nuclear energy.

The UN Security Council has tentatively backed a draft of sanctions against Iran.
