Two Tamil students set to be released

Sri Lanka’s president has ordered the release of two Tamil students detained for nearly three months for honouring fallen fighters from the defeated Tamil Tiger rebel group.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa said he made the decision in response to appeals by the students’ parents.
