Carole Baskin, made famous in the Netflix documentary Tiger King, is to take control of the zoo that was previously owned by Joe Exotic with whom she had been in a long standing feud.

Carole Baskin’s company Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue was suing Greater Wynnewood Development Group (GWDG), which was formerly owned by ‘Tiger King’ Joe Extotic, real name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage.

The feud saw Joe Exotic accuse Carole Baskin of a smear campaign, while Baskin accused the Exotic zoo of cruelty to animals.

Joe Exotic was charged and convicted in 2019 for attempting to hire a hitman to kill Carole Baskin and is currently serving a 22 year sentence.

Ms Baskin, who owns her own ‘animal sanctuary’ in Florida, will take control of the big cat zoo in Oklahoma that was founded by Joe Exotic.

CNN reported that an Oklahoma judge has ordered that GWDG vacate the premises, allegedly home to 200 animals, within 120 days.
