Swiss man faces caning for spray-painting in Singapore

A SWISS man faces a possible caning for allegedly spray-painting a subway carriage.

Oliver Fricker, 33, has been charged with trespassing and vandalism amid claims he broke into a train depot and drew graffiti on the carriage. He was said to have been with a Briton, who is still at large.

Vandalism in Singapore carries a fine of up to 1,000 or up to three years in jail, plus three to eight strokes of a cane.
