Strauss-Kahn to face his accuser

DOMINIQUE Strauss-Kahn will have to face a French woman who accuses him of trying to rape her, a Paris court has ruled.

The former head of the International Monetary Fund – and possible Socialist candidate for the French presidency – earlier this year saw charges of raping a maid in a New York hotel dropped by prosecutors.

However, he still faces an allegation by Tristane Banon that he tried to rape her in a Paris apartment in 2003.

They will now meet face-to-face as part of a preliminary inquiry into her complaint.
