Single super fishcosts £475,000

A BLUEFIN tuna caught off north-eastern has Japan fetched a record 56.49 million yen (£475,000), in the first auction of the year at Tokyo’s Tsukiji fish market. The bid by Kiyoshi Kimura, head of a sushi chain, for the 269kg tuna beat last year’s record of 32.49m yen.
