Singer Etta James ‘terminally ill’

BLUES singer Etta James, singer of At Last, is terminally ill, according to her live-in doctor.

The 73-year-old entertainer, who has been unwell for some time and is suffering from dementia, has now been told her chronic leukaemia is incurable.

Her doctor, Dr Elaine James, said she is letting the world know because the singer wants people to pray for her. The doctor has cared for James at the singer’s Riverside California home since March 2010.

The singer’s $1 million estate is currently the subject of a court dispute between her son, Donto James, and her husband, Artis Mills.
