Scots Diana fan sends a clear message to Camilla

SCOTS Princess Diana fan Linda Molloy Hartwick protests with friends outside the UN building in New York as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall begin their US tour.

Ms Hartwick who is originally from Edinburgh, waved a banner with a big picture of the late princess and the words: "Camilla, you are no Princess Di".

The tour is widely considered a test of how the general public has accepted Camilla as part of the Royal Family. Royal aides will carefully monitor how she is received, particularly given that the US is traditionally considered Diana territory.

The newlyweds were leaving the Big Apple for Washington, where they will enjoy a private lunch with President Bush and his wife, Laura. The Royal couple will attend some 22 events during the whirlwind eight-day tour. They will make a short trip to the devastated city of New Orleans in the southern state of Louisiana on Friday before heading to San Francisco.
