Scot 'stabbed to death' in Dubai

POLICE in Dubai have launched an investigation after a Scottish hotel worker was found dead in her apartment.

Maria McClymont, who was a training manager for a hotel group in the Emirate, was found dead in the Bur Dubai flat last Thursday.

The family of the 50-year-old Scot said they believed she was stabbed and robbed of her jewellery by a man she had befriended since moving there in December.

It is understood her body was found by staff who went to the flat in the Golden Sands 2 development.
