Road deaths mar Iranian holiday

Iran’s state radio said at least 90 people have died in road accidents around the country in three days of the end of Ramadan holiday, Eid al-Fitr.

Around 26,000 people lose their lives in road accidents every year in the country.

The death toll is blamed on unsafe vehicles, disregard for traffic rules and poor emergency services.
