Polish crash inquiry checks four causes

POLAND'S prosecutors are looking at four possible causes of the 10 April plane crash that killed president Lech Kaczynski and 95 others.

They said yesterday they are investigating whether the Tupolev 154 crashed because of a technical failure, mistakes by the crew or ground personnel, or actions from third parties.

They say no indications of an explosion have been detected.
