Policeman killed in drive–by shooting

Gunmen have killed a policeman in a drive-by shooting in Nigeria’s second-largest city.

A police spokesman said six gunmen on motorcycles shot at a Kano police station that has been attacked twice this year. Religious radicals launched similar attacks in a campaign to fight Nigeria’s weak central government.
