New York's Times Square evacuated again after suspicious package found

POLICE in New York closed off part of Times Square today as part of an investigation into a suspicious package.

• The busy area of Manhattan has been hit by a second security scare within a week.

A failed bomb attack on the area last Saturday has heightened security in America's most populous city, and today several blocks of Seventh Avenue were closed to traffic and pedestrians.
