Morsi supporters and critics clash

Clashes erupted in Cairo yesterday between opponents and supporters of Egypt’s Islamist president Mohamed Morsi.

The clashes happened during a rally by his allies calling on him to “cleanse the judiciary” of alleged supporters of ousted Hosni Mubarak’s regime.
