Minister quits after Lisbon degree row

Portugal’s minister for parliamentary affairs has resigned after months of allegations he received favourable treatment to obtain a university degree in the space of a year.

Miguel Relvas, 51, graduated with a degree in political
science from Lisbon’s Universidade Lusofona in 2007. He started the course
the previous year.
