Left-wing group targets rail network

Railway workers foiled an arson attack on Berlin’s central station yesterday after discovering incendiary devices left at the mouth of a tunnel. Hours earlier another suspected arson attack had damaged signals and cables on the Hamburg to Berlin line.

A German left-wing group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
