Jailed rap artist on hunger strike

A MOROCCAN rap artist imprisoned for a song that attacks the police has gone on hunger strike in protest over prison conditions.

Mouad Belghouat – known as El-Haqed, or “the Enraged” – was convicted of insulting state employees and sentenced to a year in prison in May.
