Iraq heading ‘into unknown’ says cleric

Iraq’s most prominent Shia cleric has urged politicians to make concessions to solve the country’s ongoing political crisis, aides said yesterday.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani believes that Iraq’s leaders are taking the country “into the unknown”.
