Indonesian woman fights off dragon with broom

AN INDONESIAN woman aged 83 used a broom to fight off an attack from a Komodo dragon near her home.

A Komodo National Park official said the 6.5ft-long giant lizard bit the woman’s left hand yesterday while she was near her house on Rinca island. She has had 20 stitches in her hand.
