Greece rejects cuts to minimum wage

Unions and employers’ associations in Greece have rejected private-sector wage cuts demanded by the country’s bail-out lenders if Athens is to receive a second rescue package.

In a letter to the government yesterday, unions and employers rejected proposals for the minimum wage to be slashed and annual salaries to be paid to staff in 14 installments.
