Germany supplying Qatar with 62 tanks

The German defence company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann has signed a deal with Qatar to supply the Gulf emirate with 62 tanks and 24 self-propelled howitzers.

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann said the contract to deliver the Leopard 2 main battle tanks and PzH 2000 howitzers is worth €1.89 billion and will replace outdated equipment.
