Further deaths at Chinese coal mine

SIX workers were killed yesterday and 11 are still missing after an explosion at a coal mine in north-east China where 28 miners were killed in a similar accident just three days earlier, state media reported.

It is the latest in a string of industrial accidents across the country that is again focusing attention on lax enforcement of safety regulations.
