A DEBATE on equal marriage and gay adoption rights has been delayed by the French government.

A DEBATE on equal marriage and gay adoption rights has been delayed by the French government.

Premier Jean-Marc Ayrault’s office said a bill would not be presented on 31 October as pledged but would be delayed a month. Parliament won’t debate the bill, promised in president François Hollande’s May manifesto, until January.
