Five charged after West Bank rampage

Israel’s justice ministry has charged five alleged Jewish extremists in connection with a rampage at an Israeli army base in the West Bank last month.

On 13 December, dozens of settlers and supporters entered the base, vandalised property and attacked military personnel.

According to the charges, the five helped plan the rampage in hopes of foiling the evacuation of illegal settlement outposts.
