Fears for pygmy hippo zookeeper

A ZOOKEEPER in the Czech Republic has been injured by a pygmy hippopotamus at a zoo in Dvur Kralove, 75 miles north-east of Prague.

The female keeper was flown to hospital yesterday and doctors were said to be battling to save her leg. Pygmy hippos can weigh up to 275 kg.
