Eta youth wing verdicts overturned

Spain’s Supreme Court has thrown out a conviction and six-year jail sentence for 15 members of the youth wing of Basque separatist group Eta.

The ruling was the first Eta-related court decision made public since the organisation said it was laying down arms last week. The court said the National Court failed to take into account defence evidence.
