Election tensions in Kenya claim 200 lives

MORE than 200 people have died in Kenya this year in violence typical of clashes the country has suffered before elections since the 1990s, the Red Cross has said.

Violence has occurred before voting in three out of four elections since 1992. Kenya votes again next March.
